Ron and Elva Laughton are the founders and owners of Jasper Hill. Their daughter, Emily Laughton, has joined the team and continues the family tradition, bringing a fresh perspective and renewed energy.

Vinification and aging

The grapes are hand-harvested at optimal ripeness. Winemaking is carried out with the utmost care, respecting tradition while employing modern techniques. The grapes are gently pressed, and the must is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Aging continues on fine lees for several months, adding complexity and texture to the wine. The wine is then bottled unfiltered to preserve its authenticity and unique character. Jasper Hill strives to minimize intervention, allowing the terroir to fully express itself.
