Currently, the Château Lagrange is owned by the Suntory group, which acquired the domaine in 1983. The current owners are committed to preserving the heritage of domaine while innovating to improve the quality of the wines. Their approach is centered on respect for the environment and authenticity, ensuring that each vintage faithfully reflects the unique terroir of Saint-Julien.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Lagrange The wine is characterized by a meticulous respect for tradition while incorporating modern techniques. The grapes are harvested by hand, allowing for the selection of only the finest. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats, ensuring precise temperature control to preserve the freshness of the aromas. Aging in oak barrels lasts approximately 18 months, a portion of which is in new oak. This process harmonizes the tannins and imparts subtle woody notes, while maintaining the terroir's distinctive character.
