The Domaine Trapet vineyard rests on clay-limestone soils, characteristic of the great terroirs of Gevrey-Chambertin. The vines, cultivated biodynamically, benefit from a balanced environment that promotes the pure expression of the terroir and the quality of the grapes.

Vinification and aging

Domaine Trapet Père & Fils prioritizes traditional winemaking, respecting the ancestral methods of Burgundy. The meticulous winemaking process aims to extract the best from the Pinot Noir, through gentle fermentations and extended maceration, resulting in fine and elegant tannins.
For the 2022 Latricières Chambertin vintage, the wine is aged in French oak barrels, some of which are new, adding complexity and depth without masking the purity of the fruit. This careful aging refines the aromas and develops the characteristic finesse of Latricières Chambertin. The wine rests for several months in the cellar to achieve beautiful harmony and maturity, ready to reveal itself as soon as the bottle is opened.
