General, diplomat, or even minister, each man of the Abbatucci family has contributed to building this estate with its iconic heritage. The transmission of family know-how has allowed the preservation of the exceptional and unique quality of its wines. In 1960, it was Antoine Abbatucci, Jean-Charles's father, who became aware of the threat to the island's heritage. Then President of the Corsican Chamber of Agriculture, he decided to initiate a conservation process. The vineyard has since been composed of the island's historic and indigenous grape varieties. Thanks to its exceptional history, it is today theonly Corsican domain

Emblems of the Corsican terroir, he preserves and cultivates his vines on granite-sandy slopes. The white grape varieties consist of 75% Vermentino and various other white varieties, and the red grape varieties include 70% Sciacarello, 20% Nielluccio and various other red varieties.Jean-Charles AbbatucciHe continues the work begun by his father, adapting even further to the soil and climate. The grape varieties draw all their flavor and character from the environment. Jean-Charles takes meticulous care of these precious plant archives.
