Le Macchiole - Messorio 2018

First produced in 1994, Messorio was born from a personal challenge with one of the most widespread grape varieties, not only in Bolgheri , but all along the Tuscan coast and throughout the world: Merlot. From the outset, the idea was to select the best bunches and transform them into a powerful wine with a strong personality, moving as far away as possible from the softer, more predictable style often associated with Merlot and creating a thoroughbred determined to win. The name "Messorio" refers to the wheat harvest, one of the most fundamental stages in the agricultural cycle.
