The vineyard of Château Siaurac extends over clay-gravel soils, characteristic of the Lalande-de-Pomerol region. Siaurac is located in the extension of the famous Pomerol plateau in Néac, 46 hectares in a single block making this unit the largest property in the appellation, a château dating from the 19th century, classified as a "Historical Monument", 15 hectares of hilly romantic park with century-old trees, classified as a "Remarkable Garden", an orangery and a wooded pier from the 18th century.

Owner and history

Currently, the Château Siaurac is run by wine enthusiasts who perpetuate the family heritage. Since 2004, Paul Goldschmidt and Aline Guichard have managed the domaine until Artémis Domaines acquired a stake in 2014. In 2020, Les Terroirs de Suravenir, a subsidiary of the Crédit Mutuel Arkéa banking group, purchased the property with the aim of realizing its potential. Their objective is to launch a coherent and ambitious long-term development project.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Siaurac is a meticulous process, combining tradition and innovation. The carefully selected grapes are destemmed before being placed in vats for controlled fermentation. This step preserves the finesse of the aromas while promoting tannin extraction. Aging takes place in oak barrels, imparting a subtle woody touch and added complexity to the wine. The experts at domaine they pay close attention to every step to guarantee a perfect balance, reflecting the identity of the terroir.
