The history of the Tabordet Estate

A family estate

Raymond Tabordetacquired 4.5 hectares of vineyards in the village of Verdigny in the 1960s and thus created theDomaine TabordetThe vineyard is located in the renowned appellationSancerreHis two sons,YvonAndPascalThey take up the mantle and become owners of their father's estate. They decide to expand the vineyard, planting vines within the appellation.Pouilly-fumé.Afterwards,Pascalis supported by his sonMariusand his nephewGaelThey all three have very specific roles in the management of the estate.

  • Gaël manages the technical side, equipment monitoring, harvesting and vine pruning.
  • Marius is in charge of monitoring the vines and the winemaking process.
  • Pascal handles order management and trade shows.

This diversity allows for the production of different expressions of Sauvignon Blanc, the region's flagship white grape variety. Gaël and Marius cultivate their vineyards as naturally as possible to best express the different terroirs. Committed to environmental responsibility, the two men have obtained certification.organic farmingThey are now in the midst of preparing to convert their vineyard to biodynamic farming. The new generation is committed to a highly environmentally conscious approach in order to create authentic wines.
