St Georges d'Orques

This is a micro-appellation associated with the Coteaux du Languedoc, located just outside Montpellier. The best wines from this terroir are among the finest Grands Vins of Languedoc. Made primarily from Grenache, the wines of Saint-Georges d'Orque also include Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan. The hillside vines are planted in stony soil. The wines are powerful and benefit from extended cellaring before they reveal their full potential.
