Rosé Champagne

There are two methods for making Rosé Champagne . The first involves macerating the white juice of red grapes with their skins for a few hours. The pigments in the skins color the wine: this is called rosé de saignée , or rosé de macération . The second method involves vinifying still red and white wines separately, then blending them before the bubbles appear. Champagne is, in fact, the only wine region authorized to blend red and white wines!

Louis Roederer

Although the house was founded in 1776, it was in 1833 that Louis Roederer established its prestige and, subsequently, gave it its name. Today, it cultivates 240 hectares of vines in Champagne , all located in Premier and Grand Cru vineyards in the Marne region . The vines are cultivated with respect for nature and biodiversity, with a strong emphasis on biodynamic principles. The wines are made exclusively from these grapes.

Maison Louis Roederer offers two rosé Champagne cuvées. Rosé Vintage is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, fruity and floral with hints of dried fruit. Cristal Rosé is also a blend, but with a predominance of Pinot Noir. It is a round and refreshingly aromatic wine.
