    Owner and history

Established since the 13th century on a beautiful gravelly ridge, the Château Carbonnieux vineyard benefits from natural drainage. Spanning 50 hectares, its terroir comprises soils of rare and sought-after diversity.

    Vinification and aging

After hand-harvesting, the grapes are sorted on sorting tables. Cold maceration takes place for five days in temperature-controlled wooden vats. Malolactic fermentation occurs in new oak barrels. The wine is then aged for 15 to 18 months, with 35% to 40% of that time in new oak.
