Producer

Producer

The Château d'Issan vineyard stretches across clay-gravel soils, typical of the Margaux appellation. These mineral-rich soils promote optimal drainage and ensure even ripening of the grapes. The region's oceanic climate, with its Atlantic influences, provides ideal conditions for vine cultivation, guaranteeing a harvest of high-quality grapes. The vines, some several decades old, are carefully cultivated to express the very best of this unique terroir.

Owner and history

Château d'Issan is currently managed by the de Lur Saluces family, who have maintained the estate's heritage and reputation while integrating modern practices. Their commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly viticulture reflects their passion for the terroir and their desire to produce exceptional wines. Thanks to their expertise and vision, the estate continues to produce wines that appeal to wine lovers worldwide.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château d'Issan is carried out with meticulous attention to detail. The grapes are carefully selected and destemmed before being fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This method preserves the freshness and purity of the aromas. Aging takes place in oak barrels, some of which are new, to impart complexity and structure to the wine. The time spent in barrel allows Blason d'Issan to develop its aromas and blend harmoniously, resulting in a wine of great elegance.
