the story of Domaine Lucien Muzard & Fils

TheDomaine Lucien Muzard & Filsis an essential signature of the Côte de Beaune, particularly renowned for its winesSantenay. It is a house which combines a very old family history with a modern and precise technical approach.

Although the domaine in its current form was structured by Lucien Muzard in the 1960s, the family has been established as winegrowers in Santenay since 1645 (i.e. nine generations). Today, the domaine is led by his sons, Claude and Hervé Muzard, now joined by Nasturtium, Claude's daughter, who represents the new generation.

The domaine extends over approximately 20 hectares, mainly located in Santenay, but with prestigious plots in neighboring villages.

      • Grape varieties: Approximately 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay/Aligoté.
      • Key appellations: * Santenay 1ers Crus: Clos FliesMaladièreGravel pitsClos Faubard and Clos from Tavannes.Other localities: Maranges, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault and Pommard.
