Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru

2 products

The wines of the Romanée-Saint-Vivant appellation are among the elite Grand Cru wines of the Côte de Nuits. A relatively young vineyard of 35 years, its red wines are subtle and complex. Made with a single, exclusive grape variety, Pinot Noir, they offer aromas of spice, violet, and red fruit. On the palate, they are powerful yet delicate, straightforward and sensual. These wines, ideal for investment, have an aging potential of 10 to 30 years and pair beautifully with game birds.

Romanée-Saint-Vivant is a Grand Cru appellation in the Côte de Nuits . This AOC covers just over 8 hectares and is located in the Côte-d'Or, in the commune of Vosne-Romanée . It is based on clay-limestone soils and benefits from a predominantly eastern, sometimes east-southeast, exposure.

The Pinot Noir grown here produces a structured red wine with excellent aging potential. As it matures, it develops aromas of damp leaves, truffle, and leather. It therefore pairs beautifully with red meat and game such as veal, venison, or pheasant.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

Romanée-Conti is a jewel of Burgundy. It is both a Grand Cru appellation and the name of the estate that produces it as a monopole. Each year, fewer than 7,000 bottles of this legendary wine are produced.

The Prince of Conti acquired La Romanée in 1760 and, enamored with the estate, added his name to it. In 1869, La Romanée-Conti was purchased by Jacques-Marie Duvault, and then in 1942, half of the shares were sold to the Chambon family. The estate is currently managed by two partners, each from a wine-owning family: Aubert de Villaine and Henry-Frédéric Roch.

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti produces 8 Grands Crus : Corton , Echezeaux , Grands-Echezeaux , La Tâche , Romanée-Conti , Romanée-Saint-Vivant , Montrachet and Richebourg .

Romanée-Saint-Vivant is an undeniably feminine wine, full of grace and power.
