The vineyard of Château Glana is planted on clay-limestone soils, characteristic of the appellation Saint-Julien. This diversity of soils, combined with a climat The oceanic climate allows the vines to benefit from optimal sun exposure while maintaining a refreshing coolness. Cultivated with respect for the environment, the vines flourish on well-drained slopes, promoting the ripening of the grapes. The winemakers' expertise, combined with the richness of the terroir, contributes to the creation of wines of great authenticity.

Owner and history

At the turn of the millennium, the two brothers, Ludovic and Julien Meffre, both in their forties, left their native Provence to continue the work begun two generations before them in the Médoc region. Today, while their father oversees their Rhône Valley estate, Ludovic manages the vineyards and Julien handles the administrative side, combining their talents to guide the destiny of this 43-hectare vineyard, as well as that of his brother, the Château Bellegrave, a small nine-hectare property in Pauillac, "enclosed among the greatest classified growths of the appellation.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for Pavillon du Glana 2025 follows a rigorous approach, respecting Bordeaux traditions. The carefully selected grapes are destemmed and then fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the aromas. Aging in oak barrels adds further complexity to the wine while subtly integrating the woody notes. This meticulous process guarantees a perfect balance between fruit and oak, resulting in a wine that is ready to enjoy in its youth, yet also possesses interesting aging potential.
