The vineyard of Domaine Louis Jadot It extends across exceptional terroirs in Burgundy, where the limestone and clay soil imparts a unique minerality to the wines. Each plot is cultivated with care, respecting the principles of sustainable viticulture. 1er Cru La Garenne, in particular, is renowned for its ideal exposure and exceptional terroir, allowing Chardonnay to fully express itself.

Owner and history

The trading house Louis Jadot The winery has been owned by the Kopf family since 1985 (three sisters). Thomas Seiter has been its president since 2022. Thibault Gagey, son of Pierre-Henry, has also been the managing director since 2022, and Frédéric Barnier is the technical director (who succeeded Jacques Lardière in 2010). Their passion for Burgundy and its terroir is reflected in every bottle, guaranteeing authentic and refined wines that delight wine lovers worldwide.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Louis Jadot It is a meticulous process that begins with hand-harvesting, guaranteeing the selection of the finest grapes. After gentle pressing, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and aromas. Aging in oak barrels, some of which are new, adds complexity and roundness to the wine. This aging process extends over several months, allowing the different components to harmonize and develop subtle nuances. Each step is carried out with passion and precision, reflecting renowned expertise.
