The Côtes du Rhône appellation is one of the largest regional appellations after Bordeaux. All three colors are represented in the production, although nearly 95% are full-bodied and tannic reds from the northern vineyards or light and fruity reds from the southern Rhône Valley. With an aging potential of 1 to 3 years, these red, white, or rosé wines pair well with juicy cuts of beef, seafood, or charcuterie, respectively.
