    Robert Denogent has crafted a Pouilly-Fuissé with a shimmering, pale gold hue. The nose reveals subtle notes of white flowers, candied lemon, and flint. On the palate, the attack is precise, supported by a lovely mineral freshness. The well-integrated oak aging adds volume without weighing the wine down. The mouthwatering and persistent finish leaves a chalky sensation that begs for a second sip.

    Robert Denogent's vineyard unfolds across the limestone and clay-limestone slopes of Fuissé, on the hillside, benefiting from excellent southeast exposure. The vines in the "La Croix" plot are several decades old, deeply rooted in poor, well-drained soil that promotes concentrated grapes. The viticultural approach is respectful of the soil and the vine, employing sustainable farming practices to faithfully express the terroir's identity.

    Today managed by Nicolas Denogent, the estate perpetuates the family and artisanal spirit that built its reputation. Passionate and meticulous, he treats each plot as a unique vintage. His intuitive approach blends observation, respect for nature, and minimal intervention. His exacting standards in aging and his pursuit of expressiveness make each cuvée a true expression of its place. He follows a sincere approach, going against the grain of conventional methods, to reveal the soul of the Burgundy terroir.

    Vinification and aging

    At Domaine Robert Denogent, winemaking is natural, without added yeast or chaptalization, respecting each vintage. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, followed by extended aging on fine lees without stirring.
    The La Croix 2022 vintage benefited from 18 months of aging in old barrels, giving the wine a beautiful aromatic complexity, depth and a silky texture without masking the brightness of the fruit or the mineral tension.
