THE SUBLIMATION OF THE MEDOC TERROIR
The vineyard covers 63 hectares of the Cantenac terroir. It is located within the appellationMargauxIt is in the heart of the Médoc that we find the three king grape varieties of Bordeaux. Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Cabernet Franc (30%), and Merlot (5%) are located on the best part of the appellation: the plateau. The vines are planted on agravelly soilWinegrowers often say thatthis land is both rich and poorPoor at first, in that it forces the vine to root deeply in order to draw the water it needs. Rich afterward, because the gravelly soil allows it to store the day's heat and release it at night. As a result, the grapes concentrate their flavors and offer a tasting experience that truly reflects the terroir.
